Any buyers for Search Marketing Company?? Google is selling it off!

Google is selling off the part of their newly acquired company Performics. The news came yesterday from the Director of DoubleClick Integration Tom Phillips. It seems that they have divided the company into two parts: Affiliate and Search Marketing. So, Search Marketing Unit will be sold to third party.

It’s good to see this step from Google, as there were many discussing this take over as the end of SEO Companies. On techcrunch it was something like, Google Now Selling SEO Services Via Performics. According to Mr. Phillips, Google does not want to be in the search engine marketing business as it is an obstacle in Google’s mission.

It is still not sure who is going to buy Search Marketing Unit of Performics, they have received preliminary interest from their current partners. They have made it clear that, “Search Marketing will continue to run as a separate entity until the division is sold”.
