It's Goodbye To Google
Posted March 30th, 2007by Harvey Segal You read that right. I’ve told Google to push off. Stop spidering me. I no longer want my online business to depend on its ever changing whims as to what makes a good or bad ranking. I don’t want to spend time collecting thousands of backward links then find that they are probably worthless because the anchor text does not contain a suitable keyword, or the site does not have sufficient page rank, or whatever the latest algorithm is. I don’t want to buy expensive cloaking tools and run the risk of penalization. I don’t want to be bothered about whether a domain has a static or dynamic IP address or have to use different hosts to make a network of minisites. What’s that you say ? You don’t need fancy tricks - just provide good relevant content. My answer ? Nonsense. I have a huge content site devoted solely to ClickBank, the only one of its kind. If you wanted to find the most relevant content for a search on the keyword ‘ClickBank’ don’t you think that would be at the top ? Well Google used to agree with you. It was ranked number 2, with only ClickBank.com itself at number one. Today it is ranked … wait for it … number 426. It is beaten out of sight by sites which have nothing to do with ClickBank but happen to mention that keyword once. I asked a search engine expert about this and he suggested that it was due to keyword density, in other words too many mentions of the word ClickBank. Well that has to be the case - the site is after all a ‘Complete Guide to ClickBank’ His advice - try replacing the word ClickBank occasionally e.g. use ‘CB’. No way. That was the last straw and became the inspiration for me to develop a revolutionary approach to getting traffic. It led to me being called ‘The Guru who said goodbye to Google’ in the marketing forums. And this new approach ? It uses some of the fundamental pillars of Internet marketing that you already know - techniques which will never become obsolete. But they are combined together in a new way and with a viral twist that you won’t have seen before. It includes giving out free information in a certain way and I show you how exactly in my book, The Ultimate SuperTip. And just to illustrate the principle: the book is free and you can reproduce this article and change the URL to point to your own rebranded version. SEO Guidelines
Posted March 22nd, 2007Search engine optimization is important because it improves the volume and quality of traffic to a web site from search engines. Do you want to put your website in the high ranking? Here are some guides you have to consider: Website Optimization = Content + Links = High Ranking 1. How Google Measures Link Popularity Higher link popularity scores = Higher search engine ranking Link popularity is by far the most important factor for determining your search engine ranking. You need to know what link popularity is, why it is so important, and how Google measures your link popularity (over 50% of all search engine traffic comes from Google, and if you can get to the top of Google, you will raise to the top of the others search engines as well). Link popularity - the number of links (votes) that SE have for your site. Here is a link for a good tool that measures the link popularity from SE’s. It shows you the link popularity from Google Yahoo and MSN and lets you to see the history report so you to figure out the rise of your site. http://www.marketleap.com/publinkpop/default.htm 2. Articles: Consistency is the key. It is a fact that as more and more articles are added to article directories, your article will go lower in the listings, but if you constantly and consistently submit new articles, then you will continue to reap the benefits. Making articles is a great way to build up the link popularity of your website. It gives you life-time links. • Always close your articles off with a link to your site which is relevant to the copy of the article. Hyperlink the keyword with your url. For example: Author Bio: “Johnny Brown is an expert in affiliate marketing. Visit his site for more online marketing tips.” 3. Control Your Words. “Not everything that counts can be counted and not everything that can be counted counts”. This does not apply to our situation. In the Meta Tags, you must count every word and every keyword. Use a tool like this one to count the characters from your Meta tags.” http://allworldphone.com/count-words-characters.htm 4. Optimize the Title Tag • Include 1-2 of your most important keyword phrases in the title tag, but don’t just list keywords. If you just list keywords, you risk being viewed as spamming the search engines which can ultimately lead to you being blacklisted and not included at all. • Your title tag should include your keyword phrases within a readable sentence to avoid this problem. • Make your title appealing to humans! Don’t forget that even if you get that top listing in the search engines, our listing still needs to say something that makes the surfer want to click your link and visit your site. • Since the length of your title tag could cause some engines to crop it, we suggest place the keywords at the beginning of the tag when possible to decrease the risk of having them cut off. Each page of your site should have its own title tag with its own keywords that relate to the page that it appears on. 5. Optimize the Meta Description Tag • Give appropriate descriptions (as some search engines display this description in the search result), make it more appropriate to your site. Have only targeted keywords in description. Do not stuff the description with more keywords. Restrict the number of words in this tag to 10 to 15 words. • Place the most important phrases at the start of the description, so, even if any search engine omits some part of the description, the important phrases will be displayed. 6. Optimize the Meta Keywords Tag The importance of Meta Tags is debated these days. So this is an optional extra. • Include only the keywords that appear in the body text, and no more than 5-7 keywords. Add alternate spelling of words (including typos) and synonyms of those keywords. If you’re looking for online marketing guides, visit www.moreniche.com — join for free and earn $45 start up bonus. Don’t Get Your Website Filtered
Posted March 20th, 2007Online users use Google for research purposes. Google provides pertinent information related to a search query entered by the online user. As much as possible, Google wants to provide its users with quality content alone. Because of this, it abhors low quality and spammy websites. Google has come up with various spam filters to get rid of websites that aim to spam its ranking algorithm. What are the Google Spam Filters?
- Google Sandbox Google considers the age of a website in measuring its importance. Most new websites suffer the Google Sandbox filter. The filter aims to identify whether the website has something good to offer to online users.
- Link Filter Just because links are important in increasing a website’s rank on Google, some websites have taken beyond natural linking and resorted to link farms. Link farms won’t help your website get good rankings. As a matter of fact, they can even hurt your website’s rank badly. As much as possible, get natural links by adding quality relevant content to your website rather than participating in link farms. Google also filters websites with suspicious number of links. Don’t think that just because you have added a thousand link to your website, your Google ranking and visibility will go up instantly. Google will have to find out how you were able to come up with such a huge number of links.
- Spam Techniques Filter Google hates spam and websites using spam techniques. Some websites attempt to spam Google’s ranking algorithm by using spammy search engine optimisation techniques like the use of invisible text, doorway pages, JavaScript redirects and other techniques. Google uses a -30 filter on these websites. What is meant by -30?

Internet Marketing Strategy News: Small Business’s Using Online Marketing and PR to Expand
Posted March 20th, 2007According to a recent survey, more than half of the SMBs (Small and Medium Business) interviewed said they are making money from their websites–either directly, or via offline purchases influenced by their Web sites. This article discusses their Internet Marketing Strategy. What online tools are they using to get business? * Email marketing still tops the list–if you don’t have an email newsletter you’re missing out on the number one income generator online. * Optimizing their web content for search engine visibility is a close second–if people can’t find you in the search engines they can’t buy from you! * Only 20 percent are using pay per click. It seems they are wise to the fact that organic search results return a better value. * A surprising 19 percent are already using blogs. This is a hot Internet marketing strategy. If you don’t have a blog, now is the time to get started. * A savvy 10 percent are already offering their content in RSS (Really Simple Syndication) feeds. Mainstream media–such as the New York Times Online–reports rapidly rising RSS feed subscriptions. Even the AARP (American Association of Retired People) now offers their content in feeds and RSS will soon be the content delivery method of choice. Using the above information in your Internet marketing strategy may benefit your business as well.

Make Money Online with Blogs
Posted March 20th, 2007Blogs have become a very important way to communicate and interact with a large amount of people that have a common interest. A blog is a website, like a personal diary where you can post pretty much whatever you like, anything from a political soapbox to your own personal thoughts. There are millions of blogs, and the best part is they are free!
I had no idea what a blog was when I started or how to make money online with one. I searched around a bit for some information to get me started. I found an ebook by Rob Benwell that I liked called Blogging to the Bank. I chose it mainly because it is priced very reasonably (only have a small budget - roughly halve $ price to get pounds) and it is a step by step blueprint of how he makes money online with blogs. Seeing as I knew nothing about blogs this seemed like a good place to start!
I have to say it is a great guide, he tells you exactly where to go and what to do, he’s straight to the point. Setting it up was very easy and you see the results instantly, he also shows you how to get traffic to your blog which at the end of the day is the most important thing. As well as the book you get bonuses including a newsletter and even his email address if you have any problems.
I am a visual person so having a step by step guide to follow was great. I needed some solid, helpful information to show me easily how to create and manage blogs, how you can use them to make money online and how to get them seen. I was lucky enough to find all that in Blogging to the Bank.

How to Succeed with Affiliate Marketing
Posted March 19th, 2007You’ve been waiting for a long time and finally its here- an affiliate program that will blow all the others out of the water! The already popular TheSecondTier affiliate training center has undergone a complete information and visual makeover. As an affiliate you’ll get more tools and they’ll be more powerful than ever. This translates directly into cha-ching! Here are just a few things that make this affiliate program the most effective affiliate program out there: • Huge commissions on both first AND second tier sales!!! • Product tools for all types of affiliates. • Full training center with access hours of video and audio training. • Live affiliate manager blog where you can get your affiliate questions answered. • Weekly live training calls (every monday morning!!!) Russell Brunson’s unique philosophy that affiliates should be provided not only with powerful tools but the knowledge to use them has pushed TheSecondTier to the top of competing programs. Russell has taken affiliate training to a whole new level. He understands that he can have hundreds of affiliates that don’t know what they are doing and get decent sales OR he can give them the knowledge and tools they need to create explosive amounts of money AND share with them a very generous portion of the profits from each sale they generate! Here are just a few of the things that you’ll learn inside of TheSecondTier: • How to choose the right product for you to promote - One of the biggest mistakes that almost all affiliates make when they first start out, is that they try to promote too many things at once. This video will show you exactly how to choose the right one or two products that will make you the most money. • How to set up an “Affiliate Squeeze” page - Less then 2% of all affiliates use this powerful technique, but after you implement it into your affiliate promotions, you will see your commissions grow exponentially. • How to drive targeted traffic to your “Affiliate Squeeze” pages for FREE - Once you learn this simple (and free) concept on how to drive traffic to your “Affiliate Squeeze” pages, you will be able to start literally writing your own paychecks. • How to build an huge targeted opt-in mailing list - You will learn how easy it is to build an opt-in list, and use that to exponentially increase your affiliate commissions EVERY week! • How to strategically place “Affiliate Land Mines” and watch your profits EXPLODE! - Follow this one simple strategy and you will start getting checks in the mail every month! • How to dominate your Pay Per Click ad campaigns - It’s very powerful if you learn how to do it right. This video will walk you through the process to get high converting PPC ads! • How to use teleseminars to close ten times the clients in 1/2 the time - One of the secrets to selling a lot of products as an affiliate quickly is doing teleseminars. I was nervous when I did my first few, but now I can’t stop because every time I do one, my affiliate checks from that day are anywhere from $2,000 - $15,000 (and it’s a lot easier then you’d think). • How to broker JV deals and make a fortune on your 2nd tier - Many of our affiliates earn thousands of dollars each month from the efforts of others. These videos will show you exactly how they find super affiliates to add to their second tier. • How to protect your commissions from thieves while increasing your conversions - One of the number one concerns that affiliates have are people stealing their commissions. You will learn the techniques that will protect your links and also guarantee that even the worst thieves will gladly give you their commissions instead of keeping it for themselves. • and a whole lot more…. Russell does not discriminate against less experienced affiliates. In fact, he’s already taken countless numbers of people from knowing 0 to being listed among his top affiliates. It is so effective that some people actually pay to sell products for him! The products Russell puts out are of top quality and always in demand. In fact, people call his office months before products are ready just begging to know when they can get their hands on them. Combine this with all the promotional and training tools Russell provides and you’re already half way to making serious affiliate commissions. The other half will be done when you take advantage of this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity! The age of Blogging. What is this thing anyways ?
Posted March 18th, 2007Everyone is taking about it, you hear it everywhere, in the forums, in articles its everywhere. What is Blogging. The definition of blogging is something that is very much in a state of constant movement, as the new technologies that appear every day they redefine what a blog is, what a blog can be, and what a blog should do. For many years, blogs were defined as text-based websites that kept records of days, similar to a captain’s log on a sailing ship. However, this started to change as the group of people who kept blogs became more diverse. The more bloggers began to explore the limits of the medium and of the technology that made it possible, the more the boundaries of what could be called a “blog” expanded. Today, there are an abundance of photo blogs, and there are even video blogs as well. Mobile blogging devices may well change the definition of blogging entirely by making it possible for bloggers to create new kinds of posts. Another element of the blogosphere that is starting to redefine blogging is the corporate blog. As more companies hire writers to keep blogs with the sole purpose of creating positive buzz about their brand, bloggers across the globe are arguing about whether these manufactured blogs are really worthy of the name. Between all of these different forces that are constantly expanding and reshaping the blogosphere, it is difficult to imagine that the definition of what is and is not a blog will ever remain fixed for very long. To understand blogs, you need to know the terms blog, platform, domain, and web host. Once you have mastered these key elements of blogging, you can enter any conversation about blogging with confidence. After you know what exactly a blog is, you will be on your way. Blog is short for weblog, which simply means a series of online posts presented in reverse chronological order. That’s all! Most blogs are text, but there are also photo blogs and video blogs. If you are setting up a blog, you will need a platform, a web host, and a domain. A blogging platform is a computer software program that allows you to write posts and to update your blog. Your platform is also what you use to design the look of your blog, from color scheme to font size. The web host is sort of like the virtual file cabinet where your blog is stored. Your computer communicates with the host when you upload or edit a post. The domain is the online address of your blog, and usually ends in ‘dot com’. Now that you know what a blog is, what a platform is, and what domains and hosts are, congratulate yourself! Begin Blogging… Good Luck . Blog Bar to the rescue
Posted March 18th, 2007The Google Blog Bar is an AJAX Search API application that lets you easily add application and page-controled blog search results to your web pages or blog. It provides search-driven bars of blog search results which are highly customizable. It allows you to specify the blog bar’s positioning, the number of displayed results, the list of search expressions that drive it and more. You can even dictate which blog results are displayed by using either the APIs or links on your page. You start by embedding the Blog Bar search code into the web page of your choice to display either a thin horizontal strip, or a tall vertical strip of blog search results. Adding the Blog Bar to your page is quick and easy using the available creation wizard which will walk you through some simple customizations and generate all of the code for you. Once you have generated the basic code you can adjust as needed. On the surface the new Google Blog Bar might seem to be just another slick little addition that you can add to your pages in an attempt to keep up to date with the latest and greatest gadgets. Or, a way to add some additional functionality to your web pages and a possible useful service for your visitors. All of that is true but if you open your mind to the possibiities and look a little deeper you might just find a fantastic way to pull the different aspects of your Internet business together. If you have a companion blog for your main website, (if you don’t have one I suggest you set one up immeadiately after you finish this article), you can set up a Google Blog Bar on all of your website pages and have it only pull the feed from YOUR blog. The normal way of setting up a Blog Bar would display feed results from blogs other than your own and could esaily result in your precious visitors clicking away from your site if they see a headline that interests them. By restricting the results to just your blog you can tie both your website and blog together seamlessly with natural click thrus occuring when something of interest is shown. This is absolutely perfect if you actively post to your blog and also have multiple categories. Here is an example of what I am talking about. Our main website at http://www.icanteachu.com/ has the Google Blog Bar installed on the bottom of every page. You will notice that the title on the left side is always branded to us with the actual blog category it is showing headlines for next to it. The title of the actual blog posts show to the right of that along with the date posted. If you were to see a headline that was of interest to you and clicked on it you would be taken directly to that post on OUR blog. Because the blog and website work in synergy with each other to present out material we win either way the visitor decides to go. You can check out the main Google Blog Bar website here: http://www.google.com/uds/solutions/blogbar/index.html
After a 25 year career in the food manufacturing industry I started looking for something I could do on my own terms. I decided to partner with a long time friend to create a multi topic content site. A work in progress for sure…
